CASA DANI’s Cocido Madrileño: authentic tradition in three servings

Casa Dani

Cocido Madrileño tres vuelcos - CASA DANI (1)

If there’s one dish that represents the essence of Madrid’s cuisine, it’s Cocido Madrileño. At CASA DANI, we know this well, which is why we include it in our Tuesday Menu of the Day, allowing you to enjoy a traditional, homemade, and 100% authentic recipe. Our cocido, made with top-quality ingredients and slow-cooked to perfection, is the star dish of cold winter days.

Following Madrid’s culinary tradition, we serve our cocido in three separate servings to fully appreciate its rich flavors:

🥄 First serving: The noodle soup, a result of slow and patient cooking, extracting the best from its ingredients to offer an intense and comforting broth. A first bite that warms the soul and prepares the palate for what’s to come.

🥕 Second serving: The chickpeas with vegetables, a balanced combination where carrots, potatoes, and cabbage add sweetness and smoothness to the dish. The chickpeas, tender and full of flavor, take center stage in this essential part of the cocido.

🍖 Third serving: The selection of meats, including beef, pork belly, chorizo, and morcilla (blood sausage), all served with a generous drizzle of olive oil—the final touch to this gastronomic experience that pays tribute to our beloved Madrid cuisine.

Every Tuesday, at CASA DANI, we honor Cocido Madrileño with this recipe, passed down from generation to generation. Come and enjoy this iconic dish at our restaurants in Mercado de La Paz and Calle Lagasca, 49!
